In a recent strategic agreement between Edison and Scale Gas Solutions, a subsidiary of the Enagás Group (which operates, among other things, the small scale LNG terminal in Barcelona), the Spanish company has acquired a 19% stake in Depositi Italiani GNL (DIG), which is building a coastal LNG storage facility in the port of Ravenna, consisting of two tanks of 10,000 cubic metres each.

Novatek Gas & Power Asia and the Japanese Saibu Gas successfully completed at the beginning of December the first delivery of LNG in an ISO container to the Chinese Tiger Gas. The ISO containers, owned by Tiger Gas, were delivered by sea from Japan's Hibiki container terminal in Shanghai, China, with a spot contract for subsequent small-scale LNG sales to China.
